an introduction

its been a long time since i've kept an online record of evolution, the term has even changed since my last attempt.  throughout the year though, i've come to reestablish a certain appreciation for the blog as a medium.  my musical interests, when deprived, thrived from a search between tens of music blogs - many of them hit or miss.  over the past couple months, i've gone through phases, each one dominated by a jewel of a song.  every now and then they come up, and you exhaust them, and you forget about them, but they are still good ! and they must not be forgotten.  so this is why i am setting out to track orbits.

there are tons of remixes of this song floating around now, as yelle arranged a remixing contest.  it kind of works as a rite of passage for djs and bloggers and music listeners alike.  i had checked out the finalists and sifted through them, but still feeling like more could have been done with the song, i kept searching and found on the comment page a comment about this version that yelle hadn't mentioned.  it starts off like any other, isolated vocals, but then when the bass line starts, it's over for all the others.
